Most parents are familiar with the busy schedule that comes along with your children taking part in local sports teams, but many are unfamiliar with the struggles that sports team enrollment and those demanding schedules can have for kids on the autism spectrum. Raising a child with autism, I learned that the traditional sports team environment was challenging. It took me a lot of trial and error to learn how to help my child participate in the team sports that they wanted while also working around the effects of the autism. I created this site to help other parents of kids on the spectrum understand how to do the same. I hope this information helps you to make these important activities easier for your child.
